Growing up, I can’t tell you how many times my mother would say, “Your imagination is running away with you…again.” My imagination was immense, boundless, and, well, twisted. It wasn’t until I turned 11 that I decided to put my overwhelming imagination to work. My best friend and I spend our Christmas break listening to Garth Brooks and penning stories, unlike most 11 year olds who are out playing in the snow. And so, the start of my love for writing.

Since that break, I have penned many stories, learning what I like, what I didn’t like, and what came natural. At such a young age, romance was off-limits. I considered anything outside a simple chaste kiss taboo.

Then, I discovered romance in my early twenties. It dawned on me that this was what I wanted to write. Stories about finding love and living happily ever after. In 2005, my husband, son and I moved to Central Florida where I met a group of incredible, supportive romance authors and I embraced the romance genre. The story ideas have been endless and the friendships amazing.

And the rest is history.
